Catholic Doctrine on Celibacy and Virginity
ASJ dedicates itself to spreading all of the divinely revealed truths that
comprise the Holy Catholic Faith. But we place special emphasis on the teachings
regarding sexuality since these are under such severe attack today.
It is no surprise that such attacks come from the world around us. But with
startling frequency as of late, these attacks are coming from Catholic circles.
The official Church teachings on these matters is as sound as always, and all
the truth from Scripture and Tradition has been re-iterated in holy synods and
councils throughout the ages. But most people don't take the time to read these
divinely inspired and/or infallible truths. The result is a prevailing ignorance
of Christ's saving truth regarding matters sexual. And ignorance of important,
revealed truths can be disastrous.
Our apostolate highlights pertinent texts from doctrinal sources such as
Scripture and Church documents. We explain their context so that Catholics can
get a sense of the variance that exists between God's revelation about sexuality
and the erroneous beliefs and practices widespread in today's Church. Then, with
God's grace, we will be able to convince Catholics and ultimately all Christians
to believe in and practice the same sexual morality that Jesus lived and taught.
